Telephone installation

by Computer Repair on October 28, 2014

Since the cable service included telephone service as well we decided to install a telephone system for the new townhouse up north. A basic AT&T telephone/answering system with two satellite extension phones included.

In this installation the telephone jack was located on the opposite wall from where the base unit was needed. So installation of a telephone cable was needed in order to complete the installation. A twenty five foot telephone cable was located and purchased for the job. After checking to ensure the wire would provide the solution we moved to install the wire using the standard baseboard install with tacts.

The base unit was now located by the headboard. The phone can be used while reclined and available for use anytime during the night. The security of a land line telephone system can be very beneficial.
